Update Email from LRF Unit RE Storm Christoph – Step Down and Thank You…

Could you send out an email to your members standing them down and thanking them for their hard work in preparing for Storm Christoph. The storm thankfully passed slightly to the northwest of Lincolnshire although we did accumulate 30mm of rainfall which as we can all appreciate, fell onto already saturated ground putting more strain on our systems. We are expected a period of cold dryer conditions for the next couple of days however there are some potentially significant rain in the forecast from Tuesday evening onwards which may again result in a number of flood alerts and warnings being issued by the Environment Agency.

This weekend we may see some wintery showers over higher ground.

The LRF CEC remains operational to the COVID response as well as being on standby for future weather related incidents

Stay safe and thank you
