Farnsfield Parish Council (Nottinghamshire) - Vacancy for Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer
Hours: 25 hours per week (to be worked flexibly)
Salary: NALC scale points 29-32 (FTE £39,862-£42,839 per annum pro rata) depending on experience
Location: Working from home and at our office at the Farnsfield Village Centre, New Hill, Farnsfield, Newark, NG22 8JN
Farnsfield Parish Council is a busy Council in a thriving village, located in the Newark & Sherwood district of Nottinghamshire. We are looking to appoint a permanent part-time Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer, to work flexibly for 25 hours per week - from home and with at least 1 day per week in our office in the Farnsfield Village Centre. Duties include management of our other two part-time employees. A laptop and printer will be provided.
We have evening Council meetings, usually on the second and fourth Tuesdays of most months. Your clear and reliable advice and knowledge on the law and on Council policies & procedures will be essential, as will a good understanding of Parish Council accounting procedures. Holding a recognised Clerking qualification such as the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) is highly desirable.
You will be confident, highly motivated and an excellent communicator, with good organisational and administrative abilities and the capability to be firm when necessary.
Our employment terms and conditions follow those of the NALC standard Contract of Employment. You will be entitled to join the NEST pension scheme.
