Holland Fen with Brothertoft Parish Council - Vacancy for a Clerk/RFO

Applications are invited for the part time position of Clerk/RFO to Holland Fen and Brothertoft Parish Council.

Working from home, you will be provided with a council laptop. The council holds 6 meetings a year. 

Hours: 3 hours per week.

Duties include: 

  • Ensuring the council conducts its business lawfully 

  • Look after all the council’s paperwork 

  • Managing the council’s finances, including preparing the precept/budget 

  • Ensuring meeting papers are properly prepared and posted within the correct period of time 

  • Actioning the council’s decisions 

  • Keeping up to date on legal and procedural issues 

  • Undertaking appropriate training 

  • Attend meetings of the Parish Council

Skills required include:

  • Good IT

  • Experience of Microsoft Office

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic accounting/book-keeping

Salary: £1,900 per annum.
