Find out what your local council does

Parish and town councils deliver a variety of services for their communities depending on the enthusiasm of their residents and councillors.

A lot of their income comes from the precept collected from Council Tax.  Look at their budget and accounts.

Check your local parish or town council's website, attend a meeting or two, ask questions and get involved.  Some of you might already be involved in another local group or activity but you don't have to be.

You really can make a difference to your local community taking an interest and finding out what residents want.
