Osgodby Parish Council - Vacancy for Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer (RFO)

Osgodby Parish Council has a vacancy for a part time Clerk/RFO.

The post is part-time for approx 8 hours per week including attendance at one evening meeting per month (Osgodby Parish Council routinely meets on the second Monday evening of each month). No meetings in August and December.

The post holder will be responsible for: 

  • All Parish Council administration and correspondence 

  • Arranging meetings, compiling agendas and producing accurate minutes of meetings

  • Ensuring that council documents on the parish website are kept current and up to date 

  • Monitoring the Councils’ policies 

  • Preparation of budget 

  • Maintenance of Financial Records 

  • Acting as Burial Clerk for the parish cemetery. 

Good organisational and administrative skills are essential as is competency in IT skills; previous experience of accounting and VAT procedures are preferable. 

Salary: SCP range 9 - 13 depending  on skills and experience.

Hours: 8 hours per week.

Place of work: Work from home.
